Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Why can't I book on the website?
Some vehicles are rented out or reserved at certain times of the year. Please send us an email or message, and we will check immediately whether the vehicle you want is available.
Where can I pick up the vehicle?
Our company is located in Altos (near Asunción). You can come to us by taxi or Uber, we can pick you up at the airport or other locations, or we can deliver the vehicle to your preferred drop-off point. Returning the vehicle is also done according to your wishes.
How and when do I pay the rental fee?
The rental price will be communicated to you before the pick-up date. The rental fee is payable on the date the vehicle is handed over to the renter. The security deposit for the vehicle must also be paid in cash on the pick-up date. (payment options)
Can I pay in installments?
Generally, the rental fee cannot be paid in installments. However, for longer rental periods, we are happy to offer a monthly payment plan. This does not incur any additional costs. The security deposit must be paid in cash on the date of handover.
What payment options do I have?
Please see the payment options here: payment options.
What insurance does the vehicle have?
The vehicle has comprehensive insurance coverage with passenger protection and coverage for damages to persons involved. The coverage limits are not the same as those in Europe or the USA, for example.
Is there a deductible?
Yes. A deductible of 2,000,000 Guaraníes applies to damages caused by the policyholder that are not covered by the comprehensive insurance. This includes, for example, damage caused by improper use of the vehicle, damage without the involvement of other road users and without a police report, or damage to the interior. Damage resulting from a hit-and-run accident with a subsequent police report is covered.
Is there roadside assistance?
Yes. The vehicles have 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the insurance coverage. Please refer to the documentation for details. Unfortunately, roadside assistance is not available for flat tires.
Can I drive the vehicle to neighboring countries? (Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia)
This is possible with some of the vehicles. However, the requirements must be clarified locally in Paraguay and involve additional costs. An exception is the trip to the Iguazu Falls in Foz do Iguaçu. Due to the open border policy, the 30-kilometer zone around the border crossing in Ciudad del Este (PY) can be accessed without a special agreement. However, these trips must be registered with the rental company. Unfortunately, breakdown assistance is not provided in Brazil in this case. The vehicles are covered by international insurance.
Is a replacement vehicle provided in case of a breakdown or accident?
In the event of a breakdown, we will provide a replacement vehicle as quickly as possible or ensure the immediate repair of your vehicle. The replacement vehicle may not always be the same class as the one you booked. In the case of accidents caused by the driver, we cannot guarantee that a replacement vehicle will be available.
How should I behave during a police check?
Police checks on the roads are common and frequent in Paraguay. Generally, traffic stops are conducted randomly and usually near toll booths or in larger cities. You will receive some information and a list of fines when you pick up your vehicle. The vehicle's equipment meets all requirements. The company assumes no liability for offenses and violations caused by the driver (for example, driving without lights or driving under the influence of alcohol).
In the case of technical problems, such as a headlight failure, we will, of course, reimburse the costs incurred upon presentation of an official traffic ticket.
How do I navigate in Paraguay?
Standard built-in navigation systems are rare or unavailable. In addition, the software is usually quite outdated. You're best off navigating with a mobile app (for example, Google Maps).
The company will provide you with a mobile phone for your vehicle, unless you already own one that works with internet access in Paraguay. (We provide the phone free of charge.) With the prepaid option, you can purchase credit for a day or week and use the internet throughout Paraguay. The network is well-developed, and the connection speed is high.
